Mold Booklet for California Property Owners
The Department of Public Health recently enforced legislation for landlords in California.
Beginning January 1st, 2022, California Landlords will need to provide prospective residents a Mold Booklet.
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) published a mold booklet called “Information on Dampness and Mold for Renters in California.” It describes the risks to health and specific health issues that may result from exposures to dampness or mold in buildings.
The Mold Booklet for California Landlords is required by legislation. The legislation was passed in 2001 (SB 732, the Toxic Mold Protection Act). It’s not developed by the Department of Public Health until recently.
